Obituary of Dylan Kyle Butler

Dylan Kyle Butler, age 28, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Detroit Lakes, MN. He was born on October 9, 1989 in Lufkin, TX. Dylan was a 2008 graduate of Broken Bow High School.

Dylan was a veteran of the US Army and was very proud of his service to his country . He had just recently graduated from the Colorado School of Trade where he learned to be a gunsmith. 

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also talented at woodturning and had created many beautiful pieces. Dylan was also a collector of reptiles, he raised snakes and had over 40 at one time. 

Dylan was a dedicated protector and a fierce friend. He was a loving father, son and brother, he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Ray Butler; maternal grandparents, William Henry Coffman and Diana Mary Coffman; paternal grandfather, Felix Dale Butler; and step-paternal grandfather, Joseph Ebert. 

Dylan is survived by his parents, Karen and Joe Ebert of Haworth, OK; his daughter, Jade Kambrie Butler of New York; brother, Christopher Ebert of Norman, OK; sisters, LaKeesha McKee and Jared of Ft. Benning, GA and Ashley Butler of Haworth, OK; paternal grandmother, Dena Webb of Hot Springs, AR; paternal step-grandmother, Betty "Nap" Ebert of Haworth, OK; several aunts, uncles, nephews, brothers in arms and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the White Family Chapel with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
