Obituary of Anna Mae Brakebill

            Anna Mae Brakebill, age 81, of Idabel, OK passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Idabel. She was born on February 19, 1937 in Valliant, OK, the daughter of Buford Carter and Estrella Roden Carter Loving.

            Anna was a homemaker loved spending time and talking with her friends and family. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Idabel  and was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

            She was preceded in death by parents; her step-father Albert Loving; her husband Billie Brakebill; brothers, Otis Carter, Clifton Carter and Leon Carter; sister, Betty Carter Proctor; sister-in-law, Willie Duncan; her step-brothers, Coy Joe Loving and Lloyd Loving; and a step-sister, Dora Lee Loving.

            Anna is survived by her step-sons, Wayne Brakebill of Hugo, OK and Jimmy Brakebill of Powderly, TX; step-daughters , Tammy Brakebill of Paris, TX and Debra Oaks of Hugo, OK; brother, Harold Loving and Debbie of Angola, IN; a special nephew, Jacky Loving and Teresa of Idabel, OK; special nieces, JoAnn Murray and Jimmy of Idabel, OK and Rebecca Hosea and Phillip of Greenville, SC; special sisters-in-law, Nellie Sorrells of Idabel, Ok, Emma Brakebill of Washington and Patsy Brakebill of Nacogdoches, TX; special hairdresser and friend, Barbara Maroney; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

            The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the funeral home.

            Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery with Bro. Kevin Jeffcoat officiating.

             In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Wheelock Cemetery or any veterans organization.
