Obituary of Jean Stone

Jean Stone, age 92,  lifetime resident of Tom, OK passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Idabel, OK. She was born on February 12, 1926 in Ennis, TX.

    Jean was a loving, committed Mama and Nanny that loved to provide for her family. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening, cooking, singing and playing her guitar. Jean was a dedicated member of the Tom Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was instrumental in starting the Tom Strings. She loved to share her music. Jean lived most all of her life in Tom.
 
    She was  preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Stone; infant daughter, Martha Jean Stone; step-sons, James Stone and Johnny Buck Stone; and a step-daughter, Martha Bess Miller.

    Jean is survived by her son, William Stone and Cathy of Tom, OK; daughter, Vickey Sharp and Alex of Foreman, AR; "Nanny" to her grandchildren, Jonathan Stone and Brittany of Tom, OK, Shane Stone of Tom, OK and Nicole Sharp of Foreman, AR; step-son, Carl Stone and Joyce of McKinney, TX; step-daughter-in-law, Jewel Stone of Tom, OK; grandma to several grandchildren of her late husband; a special friend, Irene Nelson of Tom, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Tom Baptist Church with Bro. Miles Wesner officiating. Interment will follow at the Tom Cemetery.
