George Whittington, age 74 of the Redland Community, OK passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Idabel, OK. He was born on March 4, 1943 in the Redland Community. George was a 1961 graduate of Haworth High School.

George was a rancher. An avid outdoorsman he loved to fish and collect outdoor specimens, anything from rocks, leaves to wild plants. He was a member of the Redland United Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of the Redland Community.

George was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Whittington and Floy Matthews Parker; brothers, Jack Whittington and Kennon Whittington; and a sister Sue Dorey.

George is survived by his wife, Kaye of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Ashley Neel and Joe of Tulsa, OK, DeAnna Powell and Georgiana Sullivan and Scot all of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Rachel Garrison, Adyson Sullivan, Dallyn Sullivan, Taryn Sullivan and Annabel Neel; brothers, Tim Parker and Charles Whittington both of the Redland Community, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and, friends.
