Obituary of Steve Blair

Steve Blair, 72, of Swink, passed away, Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Hugo. He was born September 19, 1934 at Swink, the son of Robert Fulton and Laura Polley Blair. He was of the Baptist faith. Steve worked many jobs throughout his life including a millwright, working for Oklahoma City Schools and “The Daily Oklahoman.” After retiring 9 years ago, he returned to his home in Swink. Steve served our country in the United States Army. He was a hard worker who enjoyed carpentry, especially making baby furniture and birdhouses. He also enjoyed farming and ranching. He loved people and walking his dog “Spot.” He is survived by his wife of 46 years, June Woodruff Blair; sons, Michael Fulton Blair of Oklahoma City, Robert Blair and wife, Regina of New Castle, Oklahoma; daughter, Mary Beth Fuller and husband, Leon of Bridge Creek, Oklahoma; sisters, Horten Boozer of Omaha, Texas and Nancy Pendergrass of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law, Melvina Blair of Athens, TX; grandchildren, Casey, Megan, Brandon, Riley, Bailey, Becca; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
