Obituary of Douglas Sanders

Douglas Sanders, age 68 of Wright City passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Texarkana, TX. He was born on August, 27, 1942 at Wright City. He was of the Baptist faith. An outdoorsman, Douglas loved gardening, riding around in the mountains, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tena Hill Sanders; brothers, Si Benjamin Sanders and Eugene Sanders; sister, Ruby Lois Sanders. Douglas is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sanders of the home; son and daughter-in-law, James and Jennifer Sanders of Sawyer; daughters, Pamela Sanders of Sherwood, OK, Loretta Ayer and Deanna Nyangesi both of Plano, TX; step-daughters, Melissa and husband, Charles Holden, and Christi Beth all of Nashville, AR; sisters, Lela McCauley of New Hope, AR, Virginia Blair of Ashdown, AR and Edna Ann Sanders of Broken Bow; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the White Family Chapel with Bro. Archey Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Lodi Cemetery in Lodi, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
