Obituary of VaNette Young

VaNette Young, age 83 of Idabel, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Tulsa. She was born October 26, 1927 in the Goodwater Community, the daughter of Thomas and Maude Clowers Evans. VaNette was a graduate of Haworth High School. She then attended the Robert B. Green School of Nursing in San Antonio, TX and became a Registered Nurse. VaNette worked as an R.N. at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. She made a career out of not only nursing but taking care of people. VaNette loved her patients because they also became her friends. She was a member of St. Luke Episcopal Church. VaNette loved to fish and hunt when she was younger. She was an avid football fan and her favorite team was her beloved Oklahoma Sooners. VaNette was a devoted mother, grandmother and recently a great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jake K. Young in 1968; a sister Lorene Seagraves; and brothers, John Evans and James Evans. VaNette is survived by her daughter, Debbie Limbaugh of Wagoner, OK; a son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Cindy Young of Riverton, WY; granddaughters, Jessica Young of Laramie, WY, Jennifer Reece and husband Tyler of Casper, WY; and a great-granddaughter, Ava Rae Reece of Casper, WY; a sister, Pearl Hallett of Corpus Christi, TX; a special niece, Ann Pollard of Idabel; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel with the Doug Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Denison Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
