Obituary of Orley Oscar Gilpin

Orley Oscar Gilpin Jr., age 77 of Idabel passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at his residence. He was born on September 9, 1933 in Fouke, AR. Orley was a career soldier and retired from the United States Army in 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orley Gilpin Sr. and Lois Garrett Gilpin; his wife Hilda Gilpin; a step-grandson, Brandon Farley and sisters, Ola Mae Paludan and Hazel Taylor. Orley is survived by his son, Mike Gilpin of Covington, LA; daughter, Cathy Siren of Mandville, LA; adopted son, William Gilpin of Grand Prairie, TX; step-sons, Wade Farley of Tom, OK and Randy Farley of California; a stepdaughter, Kristi Webb of Missouri; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Velma Taylor; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be private per family's request.
