Obituary of VerLois Green

VerLois Green, age 70, of Idabel, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Idabel. She was born June 28, 1940 in Clarksville, TX, the daughter of Jim and Nettie Tuttle Batey. She worked many years as a seamstress and was employed by Hagale Industries when she retired. VerLois enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. VerLois was a longtime dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as Relief Society President and also worked with children in the Primary Organization for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Coy Green in 2005; and a grandson, Christopher Aaron Crow. VerLois is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Shjan Green of Idabel; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Scott Pelletier of Otisfield, Maine; grandchildren, Trevor Green of Idabel, Jonas Pelletier, Haley Pelletier and Brigham Pelletier all of Otisfield, Maine; brothers, James Farrier of Moberly, MO, Kenneth Batey of Susakwa, OK, Burl Batey of Broken Bow and Earl Batey of Afton, OK; sisters and brother-in-law, Murl and George Williamson of Idabel, Erma Beckham of Graham, TX and Bonnie Knight of Duncan, AZ; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Idabel with Kelly Thomas and Harmon Townsend officiating. Interment will follow at Canfield Cemetery.
