Obituary of Gail Black

Gail Black, 72, of Idabel passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at Idabel. She was born on July 4, 1938 in the America Community. Gail was a hairdresser and worked at Cut n Curl for several years. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Gail was affiliated with the Baptist Faith and had lived most of her life in McCurtain County. She was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Fairless; a grandson, Bobby Graff; and a sister, Muriel Crownover. Gail is survived by her mother, Nell Vaughan of Idabel; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeneine and Pete Smith of Pottsboro, TX and Ojeta and James Laxton of Ringold, OK; grandchildren, Rodney Graff of Norman, OK, Dean Henslee of Golden, OK, Shelly McDaniel of Pottsboro, TX and Danielle Hollingshead of Bray, OK; a sister, Donna Pryor of Idabel; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Spirit Rock Church in Millerton, OK. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery with Bro. Troy Ruffin officiating.
