Obituary of Dorothy Mae Hunnicutt

Dorothy Hunnicutt, age 99 of the Pollard Community, OK passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Idabel. She was born on June 30, 1919 in Corona, CA, the daughter of Frank and Hazel Calvin Chambers. On June 4, 1938 Dorothy married the love of her life, Sid Hunnicutt.

Dorothy was an accomplished homemaker and a wonderful cook. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing games. Dorothy was affiliated with the Methodist Faith and had made her home here since 1968 coming from California. 

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, friend and she will be greatly missed.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Richard Hunnicutt and 5 brothers and sisters.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 81 years, Sid Hunnicutt of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Harvey Hunnicutt and Sandra of Irvine, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Jean Cash and Jimmie of the Pollard Community, OK; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the White Family Chapel in Idabel, OK with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the funeral home.
