Obituary of Norma Smith

Norma Smith, age 68  passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Idabel, OK. She was born on March 30, 1950, the daughter of  Lester and Fannie Lou Woods Magar . Norma was a 1968 graduate of Idabel Gray High School.. 

Norma was homemaker. She worked at Sharpes Dept. Store and also as a caregiver for several family members. Helping take care of people was a passion for Norma, she was constantly putting others before herself. She enjoyed quilting and loved to spend time with her family. Norma was a longtime member of the Bypass Church of Christ where she taught and touched many young people's lives in the All God's Children program.

Norma was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Charles Larry Smith Sr.

Norma is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" Larry Smith Jr. of the Redland Community, OK; a daughter, Tiffany Kaufman and Chris of Yuma, AZ; grandchildren, John Riley White, Beau Smith and Avery Smith all of the Redland Community, OK and Benjamin Adam Kaufman of Yuma, AZ; a great-grandchild, Elara Rilee White of the Redland Community, OK; sisters, Jean Provence of Idabel, OK and Johnnie Gallatin of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother, LV Magar of Hugo, OK; several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Bypass Church of Christ with Jerry Falling officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Springs Cemetery in Avery, TX.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2019 at the funeral home.
