Obituary of Alene Citty

Alene Citty, age 94 passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Austin, TX. She was born on February 11, 1924 in the Redland Community, OK, the daughter of Tandy Walker Jones and Tiny Tilty Lambert Jones. Alene was raised in the Redland Community, she then lived many years in Odessa, TX before moving back to Redland in the 1970’s. 

Alene was a homemaker and a member of the Redland Church of Christ. She enjoyed quilting, playing dominoes and being outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Dale Citty; a son, Robert Citty; and brothers, Jimmy Jones and Curtis Jones.

Alene is survived by her daughters, Marci King and Phyllis Citty both of Austin, TX; a son, Joel City of Austin, TX; grandchildren, James Citty of Austin, TX and Wesley Citty of Harrisonburg, VA; sisters, Norvelle Lawrence of Fullerton, CA and Pauline Citty of San Pablo, CA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Redland Church of Christ with Victor Balagbagan officiating. Interment to follow at the Redland Cemetery.
