Obituary of Luther "Luke" Cooke

Luther "Luke" Cooke, age 93, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Oklahoma City, OK. He was born on May 23, 1925 in Idabel, OK, the son of James Robert Cooke and Edna Maybell Young Cooke.  

    Luke was a long haul truck driver and drove for Roadway Express for many years. He was a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church and had lived in Oklahoma City for over 60 years.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois Cooke; a daughter, Sue Warner; brothers, Lewis Cooke and James Cooke;  a sister, Ollie Mae Bailey; and 3 step-brothers.

    Luke is survived by his son-in-law, Cecil Warner of Oklahoma City, OK; grandsons, Jeff Warner and Teresa and Greg Warner and Marae all of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers, Ray Cooke and Rickie of Abilene, TX and Tommy Cooke and Debbie of Idabel, OK; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

    Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community, OK.
