Obituary of Kerry Dean Chapman

            Kerry Dean “Chappy” Chapman, age 66 of Idabel, OK passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Idabel. He was born on October 3, 1951 in Wichita Falls, TX, the son of Thurman and Jewell Matthews Chapman. Kerry was a graduate of Smithville High School.

            Kerry served in the U.S. Navy for over 21 years. He then went to work for DeQueen, Arkansas as a probation officer where he completed his career and retired.

            He enjoyed watching movies and listening to music, but most of all Kerry enjoyed spending time with his family.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy Wayne Chapman; sister, Mary Ann Hill and his brother, Terry Hal Chapman.

            Kerry is survived by his wife, Tita Chapman of the home; sons, John Yarbrough of Springhill, FL and Bryan Chapman of Idabel, OK; daughters, Jaquelyn Smith and Christylynn Weilert of Wichita, KS; brother, Lee Branscum of DeQueen, AR; sister; Debbie McGuffin of DeQueen, AR; cousin, Rita and Glenn Sampley of Iowa Park, TX; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

            The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the funeral home.

            Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the White Family Chapel. Interment will follow at the Denison Cemetery.
