Obituary of Ken Lee

Ken Lee, age 72 of Valliant, OK passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Oklahoma City. He was born on January 17, 1946 in Kirbyville, TX, the son of Bunk and Wanda 
Glenn Lee. Ken married Angie Thompson on June 19, 1981 in Idabel, OK. 

Ken was a veteran of the US Army and served in Vietnam. He worked over 35 years for Brown & Root at the Valliant Paper Mill, retiring as maintenance superintendent. Ken had lived in McCurtain County since 1980 moving from Antlers, OK.

Ken was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them. Ken was a member of the Kirbyville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Glenda Lee; and his father-in-law, Harrel Thompson.

Ken is survived by his wife, Angie Lee of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jason Lee and Hollie of Tuttle, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Kendra Lee and Jason Newgard of Boone, IA and Jenifer Harris and Dustin of Blanchard, OK; grandchildren, Nathaniel Newgard, Adrian Newgard, Jonas Lee, Jude Lee, Ryett Harris, Haili Harris and Timber Harris; his mother-in-law, Pat Thompson of Idabel, OK; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Lee and Jimmie Nell of Trinity, TX, Jerry Lee and Lana and Terry Lee and Eunice all of Kirbyville, TX; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alan and Sherry Clampet, Chip and Kelley Thompson and Rance and Tracy Thompson; special friends, Kenneth Akard of Antlers, OK and Lowell Grelle of Valliant, OK; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home in the Mound Grove Community (5065 Pine Creek Rd, Valliant, OK 74764). Interment will follow at the Moran Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the home.
