Obituary of Brenda LeClaire

Brenda LeClaire, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at her home in Idabel, OK. She was born on April 17, 1939 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Harry and Irene Brandt Willard.
    Brenda and her late husband owned and operated Ace Hardware in Idabel for several years. She had a good business mind and this partly because of her years of experience working in banking in the Kansas City area. She came to Idabel in 1984 moving from Omaha, NE.
    She was a long time member of the Idabel Country Club where she served as President of both the Board of Directors and the Ladies Association. An avid golfer her and many of her friends played in tournaments all over the area.  She enjoyed helping with the local tournaments and put in many long hour helping to make them successful. Brenda enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Epsilon Psi sorority.
    A staunch supporter of Idabel Warrior Athletics, she was often in the stands supporting the Warriors. Brenda along with Jerry were instrumental in starting the Winter Classic Basketball Tournament which has become a huge success. 
    Brenda was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends.
    She was  preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry LeClaire; and sisters, Betty Leighy and Bonnie Willard.
    Brenda is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, John and Stephanie Armstrong of Idabel, OK and Jim LeClaire of Greenville, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Nick Little of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Rocky and Jennifer Little, Jessica Little, Angel DelValle, Matthew LeClaire, Lacey Armstrong, Jackson Armstrong, Geoffry Williamson and Kaylyn and Evo Hernandez; her sister, Beverly Saucerman of Shawnee Mission, KS; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
    A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Idabel Country Club.
    In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Warrior Club to specifically support the boy's  golf program.
