Obituary of Isabel Clampet

            Isabel Clampet, age 95, of Haworth, OK passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Talihina, OK. She was born on August 30, 1922 in Haworth, OK. Isabel was raised in the Haworth area and attended school at both Haworth and the Wheelock Academy.

            Isabel was an accomplished homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Isabel was very proud of her Choctaw Heritage. She was a lifetime resident of Haworth and was a member of the Redland Church of Christ.

            She was  preceded in death by her parents, Alex McClure and Sibbie Byington Milam; her husband, Lawrence Clampet; a son, Anthony Clampet; an infant son, Timothy Clampet; a granddaughter, Dawn Morningstar; and a sister, Flo Spalding.

            Isabel  is survived by her daughters, Sandra Holt and Jim of Talihina, OK and Cheryl Hopkins and Steve of the Forest Grove Community, OK; sons, Jerry "Hacksaw" Clampet and Carla of Millerton, OK and Steve Clampet and Nancy of Idabel, OK; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Clampet of Belton, TX; sisters, Lee Foye of Edmond, OK, Betty Hunkapillar of Talihina, OK, Virginia Dodson and Roy of Guthrie, OK and Geraldine Yearley of Idabel, OK; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
