Obituary of Cletus E Jackson
Cletus "Skeet" Jackson, age 79 passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home in the Redland Community, OK. He was born on January 4, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Ed and Elsie Mae Curry Jackson. Skeet was a 1954 graduate of Haworth High School. He married Joan Hughes on March 16, 1963 in the Redland Community.
Skeet worked for 25 years as an electronic inspector for the US Civil Service at both Tinker AFB and the Red River Army Depot. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and any kind of game he could try and win at. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren. Skeet was a member of the Redland Church of Christ and a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant granddaughter; a sister, Betty Jackson; and brothers, Carlos Jackson and Bobby Jackson.
Skeet is survived by his wife, Joan Jackson of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Terri Jackson of the Pollard Community, OK; daughter and son-in-law, LaDonna and Mark Ebert of the Union Grove Community, OK; grandchildren, Tyler and Shelby Tadlock, Brittany and Jon Stone, Christopher and Kendra Jackson, Kelsie Jackson and Kayli and Justin Bailey; sister-in-law, Glinda Cox of the Redland Community, OK; brother-in-law, Andy and Janet Hughes of Idabel, OK; nieces and nephews, Sonya and Gary Shirey, Michael and Kim Cox, Toni and Eddie Ewing, Terri Jackson, Cody and Kaylyn Hughes and Grant Hughes; 10 great-grandchildren; several other relatives and many friends.
